The aim of the project is to develop the Russian version of the Internet which describes the history of culture and science in Russia, gives an opportunity to view available material and discover new knowledge, draw conclusions on the theory of science based on the information about Russia at the turn of the 19th/20th centuries.

It is supposed to show the social circle of Moscow professors as well as different societies attached to Moscow University at that time. There were lots of talented people in those circles who became well-known in Russian culture, literature, science, history and political life. A unique social environment was formed in the atmosphere of cultural and scientific life in Moscow University.

This project is devoted to the study of this environment and is based on personal archives of Moscow professors of that time kept in Moscow State University, personal papers of University graduates kept in museums and Archives in Moscow. Special attention is paid to memoirs by Andrey Belyj and Sergey Soloviyov.

The Internet-encyclopedia of Lomonosov Moscow State University serves as the technological basis for the project.
