Education and Professional Training

Moscow State University, Philological Faculty. Graduate work: “Grammatical Essays on the Keiese language (East Indonesia (1968)". Postgraduate Training: Moscow State University, Philological Faculty, General Linguistics Department (1968-1971), adviser – Prof. B. A. Uspensky. 

 

Professional Experience

Works at Moscow State University since 1971 as an associate researcher, the Laboratory for Computational Lexicography of the Research Computer Centre. Fieldwork during the residence at Ambon centre of Maluku, East Indonesia (1963-1965).

 

Research Interests

Grammar, typology of Eastern Indonesian languages

Also works with archives of N.A. Dmitrieva (1917-2003), the prominent Russian historian of arts and literature.

Chlenova is a member of international scientific society "Nusantara", a collective member of the European Association of Research in South-East Asia (EUROSEAS). Member of AIS (International association of art critics and art historians).

 

Publications

Linguistic works  including the first descriptions of the three Moluccan languages: Daweloor, Damar and Teun variety of Wetan language. (On-line version of Damar paper:http://www.ethnologue.com/show_work.asp?id=48316).

Chlenova is the compiler and editor of the two collections of N.A.Dmitrieva’s articles “Poslaniye Chekhova” (Chekhov’s Message).2007 and “V poiskakh garmonii” (In search of harmony).Moscow: Progress-Tradition, 2009
